HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO LEARN HOW TO PLAY POLO
you have a professional on the field with you at all times giving you real time instruction. Once you can safely stay on the horse you can begin to play slow practice chukkers. Theoretically you could play in under a week.
DO I NEED TO KNOW HOW TO RIDE?
No, it helps, but is not necessary. Our horses are selected for their gentle nature and ability to ensure that you have a pleasant and safe experience.
WHAT DO I NEED?
A sturdy pair of shoes or boots with a heel is required. You may bring your own helmet or use one of ours. Also a pair of thin gloves (baseball or golf gloves) is recommended.
IS IT DANGEROUS?
It would be fraudulent to tell you no. Like any other horse sport there is some inherent danger involved. We try and cover all the bases to ensure your safety, but we have to be completely honest and say that nothing is 100% guaranteed when it comes to horses. You will be provided with safe horses, reliable equipment and be supervised by our team of professionals. That said, you will not be allowed to participate with out signing a release form.
WHAT ABOUT THE WEATHER?
All scheduled activities will be held unless it is raining at the time of the event. All lessons/games are subject to cancellation for unsafe weather conditions plus its really not that much fun to get soaking wet while you play!
