- Welcome to Destination Polo, a premier polo services business based on the East Coast. We specialize in having the finest horses, equipment and providing the best atmosphere for you to learn and play. Our goal is to provide a first class memorable polo experience.
- In the summer months (May-November) we are based on the East Coast in two locations. Middleburg, Virginia, an area that is rich in horse sports and a short commute from Washington, DC. Our other location is near Southampton, New York. Located just a few hours from NYC and conveniently located in the middle of the Hamptons.
- During the winter months (January-April), we head south to Wellington, Florida. Home to the highest goal polo in the US and a fantastic place to experience polo. Here you will get a chance to play on some of the best fields in the world as well as see the top players in a Sunday game at the famed International Polo Club Stadium. In addition you can take advantage of the many opportunities that South Florida has to offer such as the beach, golf, site seeing or just escaping from the cold.

Polo Lessons In Wellington, Florida
We are offering polo lessons in one of the top Winter Equestrian destinations situated in Wellington, Florida. Located 1 hour North of Miami, from December to April it is home to all of the top polo players in the world. Come try the sport first hand and see what the game is all about. All you need are jeans and hard soled shoes. We provide all equipment necessary. Please contact us to arrange a mutual time for your polo lesson.

Doug Barnes - Owner - Destination Polo
Meet Doug Barnes:
Doug Barnes has been in polo for over 20 years. He has started and trained many players in both Virginia and Florida who are passionate about their love for horses and the game of polo. Using his in depth knowledge of the game of polo as well as a deep understanding of horses he is able to progress players at a rapid pace to learn the game of polo. In addition he has created a network of contacts to be able to source horses as well as unique venues in which to play. Feel free to contact him directly with any questions you might have.
When he isn't playing polo or working with horses, you can usually find Doug in the outdoors, fishing, hunting or camping accompanied by his two labs. Always up for adventure, he's traveled all over the US, and Canada in pursuit of the outdoors. HIs top three places to go are Colorado, Canada and pretty much anywhere in South America.
